Call to Action Phrases That Get People Clicking

Call to Action Phrases That Get People BuyingThere are countless ways companies might go about moving potential customers towards a sale, but they all rely on calls to action.

The call to action is exactly as it sounds. Once you’ve concluded your pitch, it’s time to prompt the prospect into buying. A lot depends on your call to action, meaning you shouldn’t just whip something together and expect it to work. Instead, try these phrases below.

How Do I Start?

This is a good call to action to use if you’re pitching a service like a course or a membership site. If you handled the steps prior to your call correctly, the prospect should be anxious to find out how they can get started. Notice, though, that this call to action isn’t a blatant sell.

It doesn’t just say “buy here” or something similar. Again, if you handled the preceding steps correctly, then your prospective customer should already be asking themselves this.

Again, the beauty is that it doesn’t reek of desperation, nor is it a demand that suggests the person will need to part with money soon. If anything, you’re just providing one more solution to a problem they have (how do I start?).

This call to action is definitely a demand, albeit a very polite one. However, you’re telling prospective customers to give you a call or send an email. You’re not telling them that contact is going to cost them and, if your sales funnel has been good so far, they would probably like to contact you to learn more.

Why this call to action works so well is because you’re offering a reward in return for their compliance. Obviously, you want to make the reward something they’ll actually desire. If you disappoint them with a free item, they’ll think you’re up to something and avoid any further business with you.

Obviously, this call to action is very similar to the one above. This one just says that you did a superb job selling the prospect up until this point. Even though the language doesn’t make it apparent, you’re asking for a sale here, so that sales funnel really needs to execute. However, so long as you’re confident in it, this is a great way to get clicks that convert.

Here’s another call to action that relies on quid pro quo. You’re not asking the prospect to buy anything, but you’re definitely requesting some important information. The reason this call to action is getting highlighted here is twofold. First, obtaining an email address should be relatively simple if you sell your newsletter, monthly report, etc. as something of actual value and not SPAM. Second, that email address can easily boost profits if you leverage it correctly. Does Your X Suffer From…

Sales are always easiest when someone has a clear and defined need for something. When that person is suffering from something, it should be even easier. Whether it’s an actual disease or just weeds in the garden, highlighting the need in your call to action is a smart way to get those clicks.

While a lot of work should come before your call to action, it’s too important to treat as anything other than a priority. With the samples above, though, you should have a fairly easy time making your call to action one that sells.
